Leadership Structure

IPPNJ is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of some elected, some appointed and some automatically rotated positions. This structure was approved conditionally by the membership at a general meeting on March 4, 1990, pending a review of its effectiveness in 1995. As of February, 2000, officers of the IPPNJ Board include: Irwin J. Badin, Director; Veronica A. Bearison, Associate Director; Stanley Lependorf, Director of Training; Susan J. Herman, Director of the Psychotherapy Consultation Center; William Boyce Lum, Dean of Students; Linda Meyers, Treasurer; Nancy McWilliams, Recording Secretary/Publications Director; Francesca Richardson, Chair, Committee on Continuing Education; Richard Reichbart, Coordinator, Bergen-Passaic Area; Veronica A. Bearison, Coordinator, Essex-Morris Area; Myra E. Klein, Coordinator, New Brunswick-Princeton Area; Rena Yalen, Member-at-Large, Bergen-Passaic Area; Stanley Moldawsky, Member-at-Large, Essex-Morris Area; Judith Logue, Member-at-Large, New Brunswick-Princeton Area.

Regular committees include the Training Committee, Curriculum Committee, Membership Committee, Admissions Committee, Committee on Continuing Education and Consultation, and Clinic Committee. Candidates sit on all standing committees. They have a vote on the Board, via the President of their organization, and along with IPPNJ members, they elect the Dean of Students, whose role includes advocacy for candidates.
